::Name::
Pinky Pink Pinkerson :)! No, just kidding, that's not my real name, just my pseudonym.
::Family:: I'm the oldest of three girls and my family has been nicknamed the Brady Bunch for our 'wholesome charm'. We are a very tight knit family and spend lots of time laughing, talking too much and too loudly, fighting passionately and then moving on with life. My sisters are my two best friends and we've seen each other through a lot. I am so blessed to have such amazing parents, they truly worked their butts off to give us an amazing life and as I've grown up I realize how much I took for granted as a child. On September 7th, 2013 our family received an incredible addition, Le Husband. He's my best friend, the peas to my carrots, the marshmellows to my Lucky Charms and I sometimes still have to pinch myself, when I realize he's allll mine. One day, our family will grow, but right now I'm happy with our number!
::Work:: I've been with the same company since 2006 and that's pretty much all I care to share. I work behind a desk eight hours a day, in a cubicle. It's nothing secretive or special, just something that I strive to keep off my blog 100%.
::Hobbies:: Blogging, cooking, eating, reading, soccer, and kickball. Yes, I said kickball. Since 2010 I've traveled to Fort Lauderdale {four times}, Atlanta {twice}, Virginia Beach {four times}, DC {four times} Harrisonburg {three times}, Austin, Denver, New Orleans {twice}, Vegas {four times}, Nashville for tournaments and recently added San Antonio as a destination. I've met some amazing people, including my husband, through kickball and it pretty much runs my life. Check out this post for more on my kickball journey.

::Favorite Food:: This is tough. I love chips&guac! I love ice cream! I love good Italian risotto and ravioli. I also LOVE a well cooked [medium rare] steak, with mac& cheese and veggies. Okay, I'm now officially hungry!
::Favorite Color:: Black.....haha sike! My nickname isn't Pinky, for nothing. You should know that there are grown men, at work, that call me Pinky on conference calls and in the office. And I get special presents from friends, just because the gift is pink. I'll always have something pink in my outfit, even if it's just my toenail polish.
::Standard Coffee Order:: My summer drink of choice is an Skim Iced Caramel Macchiatto. My fall drink of choice is a Skim Salted Caramel Mocha. My holiday drink of choice is a Skim Cinnamon Dulce Latte.
::Standard Bar Order::
Unless I'm at a dive bar, I'm trying to order some champs. I love a good glass of bubbly and extra points if it's pink champs. If there isn't any good champagne you'll find me sippin' on some wine; either a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Riesling. Or, if asking for wine gets me a side eye from the bartender it's a Jack & Coke or straight whiskey, on the rocks.

::Bedtime & Wake Up Time:: During the week I try to be up no later than 6:15am and in bed around 10:00pm. But recently it's been in bed later, so up later...oops!
::Beauty Products I Can't Live Without::
1] Mascara: Almost always have it on, love me some mascara. 2] Lip gloss: The pinker, the better. 3] Eye Liner: I'm all about cat eyes, so an eye liner pot is a must. 4] Blush: I used to be a bronzer only girl, but now I can't leave the house without blush.
::What I Blog About:: Life and how I live. I include recipes, fitness tips and often some inspiration quotes. Basically, I'm all over the place, but I try to keep it up beat as much as possible.
::First Blog I Read:: Honestly, I can't remember. I started reading blogs, back in 2006, but they were called 'LIVESPACES'. I read all kinds of random blogs and was fascinated by other people's lives. I wish I could remember the first blog I commented on, but I can't.
::How Did I Start Blogging:: After reading and reading so many different blogs, I decided to take the plunge and create my own. It started as just a place to get my thoughts out, because I didn't have time to keep a journal anymore. If you go to the beginning of my blog, you'll see a lot of it pertains to a tumultuous relationship. Sometimes I entertain the thought of deleting my first post, because they were kind of ridiculous, but then I remember that's where I was at the time and it's an important piece of my story.
::Why I Blog:: So many, many different reasons. This lil place is where I can be creative and not worry about what anyone thinks. I've learned a lot about, makeup, hair products, diy crafts, food, wedding planning and what makes a good blog post. My main focus of this blog is my life and strive to keep it as real as possible. Honestly, even though I love blogging, I could walk away from it tomorrow and be fine. But, what I can't walk away from is the friendships I've cultivated. My blog has brought some of the most amazing women into my life and I'm so thankful for all the friendships I have now. I read blogs written by college girls, just out of college girls, single girls, dating girls, engaged and newlywed girls, newly pregnant girls and ladies that are much more settled in life, but we all are able to connect about something. Every comment makes me smile and I love getting to know y'all through email, making new friends is so much fun. :)

ReplyDeletei remember before blogging was called "blogging" it was "online journals" and LiveJournal was all the rage. it was straight up text only, no real templates or any customization. if you wanted a custom site, you had to use GeoCities ahahahaha! blogging is definitely fun and the community of women/people you meet are awesome.
