T is for Thankful

Morning and happy first day of December, friends. WOW, crazy how quickly November flew by, huh? I stand amazed that it's December already and the Christmas season is here. The weeks leading up to Thanksgiving were pretty stressful, so the four day weekend was exactly what I needed to recharge. A perfect mix of family, friends, food, fun, sleep and good times, too.

This Thanksgiving break I...

:: Enjoyed sissy time, since I was in Ohio last year.

:: Hung out with my favorite 'turkey' ;)! #hunkcity #lovehim

:: Chowed down on lots and lots of delicious Thanksgiving food.

:: Spent three hours shopping on Black Friday…in one store. #thankyoumacys

:: Helped put together the Christmon tree, at church.

:: Looked angelic ;)

:: Saw Big Hero 6 with the family. Such a fun and cute film, but be ready to cry. #ididtwice

:: Mailed my first round of Christmas cards. #cantwaittosharewithyall

:: Ate Thanksgiving numero dos with the family. #leftovers #morefood #familyfun

:: Slept in and napped a lot.

:: Brought up the Christmas decorations from storage.

:: Watched the Ohio State vs Michigan game! #gobucks #ohio #beatmichigan

:: Unwrapped my childhood ornaments for our tree. #firsttimeawayfromthefamily #thanksmamab

:: Spent 2+ hours trimming the trees, cleaning, hanging the wreaths and decorating our apartment.

:: Basked in the beautiful glow of a job well done. #itsbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas #eighpounds

:: Mailed my second group of Christmas cards.

:: Lit the first balsam cedar candle of the season. #smellsyummy #bestscandlesmell #Christmas

How was your Thanksgiving break? Did you do anything fun? Any black Friday shopping?

Hope you have a fabulous week, sweet friends!

Childhood ornaments are the best. My mom gave me all of mine a few years ago. I now do a shoebox for each of my kids to hold their collections as they grow. Sounds like a great weekend and I really wish Charleston had a Macy's!!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend and Thanksgiving! I kinda thought Big Hero 6 was going to make me cry... I think I'll have to wait until it's out on DVD to watch it!

Looks like you had a great weekend! Love all the Christmas ornaments! My favorites are the ones that I grew up with or were given as gifts over the years.

I totally did some black Friday shopping. It was crazy how calm it was this year.

Its always so fun to pull out old ornaments. Such memories.

I just said to someone I haven't heard a lot of buzz about that Disney movie. It's worth seeing?

Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving!! I pulled out my Christmas decorations over the weekend. Childhood decorations are the best. My mom put together a bunch for me a few years ago and I love going through them each year. They actually look very similar to yours!

Leftovers are seriously one of the best things about Thanksgiving;) Looks like you guys had a wonderful time with your sweet family - love the pictures of you guys decorating the church tree. So sweet! And your tree at home looks great too. Best season of the year! Fa la la la la!:)

I'm so jealous that you put up your Christmas tree! We're moving next Saturday so there's no point in putting ours up yet, but you can be sure that it's the first thing going up in our new apartment!

First, I love that you wear pink, even on Thanksgiving. Who needs fall colors when you have pink, right? Second, I love that you took a picture of your meal. That is awesome.

Sounds like a great weekend with family, those are the best ones, if you ask me! (And totally jealous you already have 2 batches of Christmas cards mailed!!)

I used to love getting out the ornaments when I lived at home with my parents. Now it's fun because we're collecting our own that have special memories with them. :)

It looks like you had such a great weekend full of great food & friends and family! I love the picture of all of your ornaments! Most of my favorites from growing up are still at my parents, but I can't wait to add them to my own tree eventually. I was on top of buying Christmas cards this year buuut am kind of slacking because I haven't filled any of them out yet! Great job getting two batches out already!

I love childhood ornaments! We each had a Charlie brown tree (tree branch spray painted gold) in our room to decorate with our own ornaments. It is still my favorite tradition!
