.::. There are bad people in the world and bad things happen to good people. All we can do is pray, hope and believe there is more good than bad in the world.
.::. Glasses half full are more fun to drink. See the world as an optimist, not a pessimist.
.::. A smile costs nothing, and is something [small] that can change someone's day for the better.
.::. Drama is as drama does. No matter how much someone says they don't like drama, if they don't walk away from it, keep obsessing about it or constantly bring it up, THEY ARE DRAMA. Do yourself the favor and walk away.
.::. Wishing your life away keeps you from truly being happy. Enjoy the day to day and the now. We all endure valleys with the peaks, so wishing for a happier/better time in life is understandable. But don't keep WISHING for the next phase of life, for too soon you'll realize you missed out on the present.
.::. It's always better to be overdressed, than under-dressed.
.::. Faith is one of the strongest words of any language.
.::. Tomorrow is never promised and if you woke up today you've been granted a precious gift. Don't put off what you want to do today, because you never know if you'll get the chance tomorrow. You only get one life, make it count.
.::. Someone will always have it better than you and worse than you. Be grateful for what you have in life.
.::. Things are just things. Don't stress about worldly possessions. Build up moments and memories instead.
.::. Physical fitness and health are two of your most important assets. You don't need to run marathons, compete or be a fitness model, you just need to be healthy. Walk more than you sit, eat more healthy food than junk food and drink more water than you think you need. Keep yourself healthy as long as you can.

My little bit of cheer today, are two shows from last night. We watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer during dinner, last night and it was so fun. I could recite this movie word for word, as we wore it out on VHS when we were little. "Eat Santa, Eat", "Bumbles, BOUNCE", "Silver and gold", "She said I'm cuuuute"!
After Rudolph, I changed the channel to CBS for the VS Fashion show. I must admit, I enjoyed this show, a lot! It was much better than the past two years in my opinion. The models looked amazing and Tswift rocked it, as usual! Ariana Grande KILLED IT, too. The runway was such a great, great look this year!
Being positive is the best thing you can do...it makes life better living it that way!! Love this post girl!!
ReplyDeletesuch true sentiments!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Every point of it is so spot on, If only everyone would think like this!
ReplyDeletei'm always underdressed! i always look at my fancy clothes (and by fancy, i mean regular stuff like jeans etc) and then slowly, my eyes and body move towards my leggings and boyfriend shirts LOL
ReplyDeleteLove all of this! SO true!

I'm a firm believer that bad things happen to good people (well, ALL people) to help us truly appreciate the good! Without opposition, we wouldn't understand just how good the good really is... did that even make sense?

"She said I'm cuuuuute!" -- favorite line of mine as well ;) I loved this whole post though... I am so guilty of stressing over THINGS and I work daily to get better at this. Nothing is promised and I want to enjoy every second of life I can.
ReplyDeletebe grateful. be grateful. be grateful.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! So true that a smile can really brighten someone's day and it makes you feel good too! I'm having some issues with my comment reply on my website so just in case you didn't get my response, my boyfriend and I moved to Halifax to return to school (him for engineering and me for journalism). I liked what you wrote about not wishing your life away because sometimes we just want to be done school since we're both late 20s, but then we remember to just enjoy this phase because it really is awesome.
ReplyDeleteEvery day is absolutely a gift! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true about someone always having it better AND worse. It's all relative.
ReplyDeleteSuch a strong post! I agree with you on all of these! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteLove Rudolph & so does Cash!

ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've never once seen the VS Fashion Show! I can't believe it either...
I am a huge fan of all christmas specials. One that I miss is the Garfield Christmas episode that they usually played after Frosty and Rudolph! Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I remember it...but I found it on DVD in 2008 and watch it every year because they sadly don't show it anymore!
