Weekends Like This Make Me Happy

Morning, friends! How are you doing this Monday? Hopefully you feel rested from your weekend and are ready to attack the week ahead. My weekend was the perfect mix of lots of fun times, athletic times, good food times and thankfully, restful times. I was glad for the extra rest because I was extremely active on Saturday so a chill Sunday was fabulous.

This weekend I…

… went out on a Friday night for the first time in forever. One of my friends was celebrating her birthday at this amazing Mexican joint for a late dinner and I was actually looking forward to a night out. Le Husband and I grabbed a quick workout after work and then we scurried home to get ready. I broke out one of my favorite outfits and gave it a bit of a rocker flair, just for fun. #lovemyvest #hoorayhairsprayandteasingcomb
High teased ponytail for the win on hot, humid nights. #usaearringforthegame
… arrived a bit early to grab a quick drink and watch part of the USA vs Sweden game. Bummed we only got a tie but glad I didn't miss any amazing plays or goals. Dinner was super tasty and the company was fabulous as always. I'm a huge fan of birthday dinners because it's much easier to converse than standing at a loud bar. #gettingold
Sangria and duck flautas for the dinner win!
… was hammer city after one and a half drinks. #whole30part2doesnthelptolerance

… had a major sugar/carb/alcohol hangover on Saturday morning. #darnwhole30 #posttocome

… completed my first solo bike ride on Babs. We had women's kickball practice on the mall so I rode in early that morning and it was so peaceful and beautiful. Arlington Cememtary was majestic and the traffic along all the monuments was pretty light. Going home was another story because it was noon and ERRRRYONE was out and about. #ughtourists #dontwalkfiveacross
#toohotforatop #bikerbabs
… spent the afternoon at the pool catching some rays and putting my new swag, from this pretty mama, to good use. #nonalcoholic #dasani  #thanksfriend #ilovethepool #gottagetthattan
#dancingemojitwinlove
… helped Sportyspice decide on decor for her new place.

… picked up Le Husband on the side of the road after a flat bike tire. #poorguy

… spotted this cute deer in front of our place. #wenamedhergenevive

… bullied Le Husband into making ribs even though he wanted to wait since it was later than planned due to the flat tire. I'm so glad he listened to me because they were amazingly delicious! #happywifehappylife #Ilovebeingright
#fingerlickingood #ribsintwohoursforthewin

… fell asleep on the couch during CWS games and the Stanley Cup Finals. #ooops

… slept in and enjoyed a slow, lazy Sunday morning.

… helped Le Husband put together our bike rack on his car. #girlsreadinstructionsbetter

… woke up craving brunch so I tagged along with Babyspice and her church group. It was a delicious brunch buffet at Fireworks and I stuffed myself silly on biscuits&gravy, eggs, caprese and of course pizza. Not pictured; the tasty mimosa and brioche french toast and lemon blueberry breakfast cake. #nomnomnom
Sporting my dress Le Husband bought me for Christmas. I call this my 'take a bath hippy' outfit ;)!

… watched TCU take it to LSU, go frogs.

… attempted some yin yoga to work on my flexibility. #sonotflexible #thosewomenarerubberboned

… prepped food for the week.

… relaxed on the couch with Le Husband before bedtime.

How as your weekend? Did you do anything fun? Are you rested or tired?
