How sweet is this post! I remember wanting to be Wimbeldon Singles Champion and having tennis tournaments literally every single weekend!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute!!
ReplyDeleteI remember putting on an old flower girl dress and pretending like Iwas in the Miss America pageant. We also dug in dirt and pretended like we owned a restaurant.. kinda scary what we were serving! Ha!
haha! love this. i remember big bows and scrunchies, gimp, black plastic (madonna bracelets), pinned jeans with tretorns and legwarmers, elementary school crushes, hanna-barbara/voltron/he-man/thundercats/the smurfs/the mighty hercules were saturday morning cartoon must-sees!
ReplyDeleteI remember wanting to be a "mommy" then a "teacher" then a "fashion model" funny thing is I became two out of the three. Fashion model, I only wear clothes because I have to. Fashion is the farthest thing from my mind!! Enjoyed your littles!
ReplyDeleteYep...that's how it was for me and so far it seems to be similar for our daughter. I want to to know how to play hard, get dirty and embrace whimsy. That's how memories are made :)
ReplyDeleteHaha love this! So cute! I remember putting on dance recitals for pretty much everyone within a 10 ft radius at any time! I miss dancing now...

YES Saturday morning cartoons and cereal. That was just what was done. Cartoon express, the Smurfs, etc. I also watched GLOW the glorious ladies of wrestling. LOLOL
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading yours!
My brother and I played make believe games where he was a circus tiger and I the ring master!
ReplyDeletelostmanyabooktoateacherdrat - hahahaha. love it!
ReplyDeleteplaying outside seriously was the best thing ever. i even took my barbies outside haha.
Oh I was OBSESSED with rollerblading! The best part? My dad would even come rollerblading with my brothers and me! I totally want to be that kind of parent! We loved it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sad to think how different our kids childhood will be from ours? I'm determined to get Mia to love playing outside (she already does!) and have an imagination just like we did, instead of being hooked to a screen!
Look at cute little you! Being young is the best, truly. It's so great seeing it again through my kids' eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is amazing!!!! Such an adorable kiddo!
ReplyDeleteHow cute were you!!! We sound SO similar as kids - it's cracking me up! I was always getting in trouble for reading in class when I wasn't supposed to. I rocked short hair in 4th and 5th grade, and had glasses until 6th. And I was definitely rule conscious for sure, though I also liked to do my do my own thing, and also got reprimanded a lot for talking too much, lol!:)
ReplyDeleteLove this post! And yes, roller blades were a big deal!
ReplyDeleteWe wore my mom's old bridesmaid dresses too! My kids are screwed because I only have 2 BM dresses and one of them I wear regularly.
ReplyDeleteBoys are STILL the competition!
Playing outside is still the best thing ever :) Ahh I wish I still got grass stains haha. Now it's mostly just something I spilled...ahh the good ole days!! :)
ReplyDeleteOH I love this! And one year I really wanted rollerblades, but my parents got me roller skates, talk about disappointment!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I remember not caring what I ate, being fairies in the backyard and thinking I was cool with choker necklaces!
ReplyDeleteI still think playing outside is more fun! And YES to reading on my own while the teacher was talking *whoops*
ReplyDelete"::: my parents put us on new sand restriction because we" OMG DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSaturday mornings were the best! I used to love the cheesy shows like "Hang Time" and "City Boys" lol
Haha yes! What Amanda said! I need to know why you were put on sand restriction! And Saturday morning cereal was the best
ReplyDeleteYES to being outside all day every day and tracking dirt in every evening before dinner ;) We grew up in a pretty rural area and had 5 acres to play and explore on so it was always an adventure!!!
ReplyDeleteI could play outside for hours when I was younger! I also remember always playing store/teacher for hours and hours haha.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Playing outside was one of the best things as a kid! I was just thinking about that today actually, how when I was little I was always playing with trucks & stuff in the dirt with my older cousins.
ReplyDeleteI read some books during class, too. Sometimes I felt like I was learning more from the books anyway.
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of fun times when we were younger... Saturday morning cartoons and playing outside all day... good memories xox ♡
