Winnie The Poohing V3

Normally my Thursday's are themed and not just 'thoughts'. Today I'm changing that up and sharing some stream of consciousness randomness. I'm sorry or you're welcome, you let me know ;)!

+ New movies aren't really my thing -- unless you're talking Disney, HP or Bond -- I'd rather watch movies I've already seen or television shows. Recently I re-watched two of my favorite movies "Mona Lisa Smile" and "Frequency" and if you haven't seen either, I highly suggest both for your next movie night. I also saw "The Imitation Game" and "Woman in Gold" for the first time and both were extremely interesting movies and I highly recommend you check out both.
1 / 2 / 3 / 4

+ Disrespectful and micromanaging bosses drive me batty. Both Le Husband and I have been dealing with them a LOT recently and we both are getting pushed close and closer to our breaking point. Maybe this is what I need to actually get out there and find what I truly want to do in life. Any good vibes would be appreciated.

+ Yesterday I posted about Gwen and Gavin breaking up and would you believe it, the news about Kermit and Miss Piggy breaking up hit the Internet Wednesday, too! What in the world is going on people? I am in shock! I don't think it's a funny PR stunt and honestly am sad the Muppet's would joke about this with kids.

+ I met a bunch of friends out for Taco Tuesday and a birthday celebration this week and had a blast. Usually I'm a home body that doesn't like to go out during the week. I don't like spending money on food that makes me fat and I hate being tired the next day. But, Tuesday was so much fun and brought back fond memories of being indestructible in my mid-twenties. Where oh where did the time go?

+ Y'all know about my love affair with smores. No? Well I would press the FDA to make smores a food group if I thought they would take me seriously. My girl Nikki knows me so well she sent me this pin and I can not wait to give it a try.

+ I found out a very special blog friend and I share the same wedding anniversary. How awesome, right? #twinsies

+ The support for Leslie's family continues to amazing me. There is now a dress being sold soley to support a fund for her two girls, the Go Fund Me is going strong and Elaine is collecting letters for the girls from people who knew Leslie. Kelly has everything nicely in her post, so please check it out if you have any questions.

+ This may be a humble brag, so forgive me, but I am still on a high after my Spartan run on Saturday. Even though I didn't do as well as I originally wanted to, I completed my 2015 fitness goal and that is what matters. Honestly I want to sign up for another race right now because of the runners high, but I think I'll wait another week to be safe :)!

What are your thoughts today?

I have been wanting to see Woman in Gold...I saw Imitation Game and thought it was so good, but so very sad at the same time! Good luck with your job situation...it can be so hard to decide what to do when it comes to that!

the first movie i've ever seen with benny cumberbatch was imitation game and i loved it! he's adorable. now i must lurk sherlock because i heard it's amazing too.

micromanaging people drive me insane. i had to yell at one to back off and let me do my thing or he can do it himself! luckily i didn't report to him but he was one of the primes of the project so needless to say, he was not pleased and told my director who backed me up and said "well, if you want shit done, let her do her thing and it will get done".

I can't even deal with how amazing that smores pizza looks. I read your entire post and forgot about everything when I got to that picture! Haha! Seriously though, I'm right there with you on the movie and tv show thing. If I go to the movies once a year it's a miracle. And Kermit and Miss Piggy... I just can't. :)

Dang girl, go on with your fabulous 0% body fat self. You rock out, you're my hero, are you going to beat Rhonda Rousey's tail? Tacos yummmmmy I always have time for tacos which is probably why I don't have 0% body fat. I hate micromanaging nose in everything bosses....I don't have one but ya know I feel the pain, had them before. xo Amanda

Mmm tacos... and smores... and your rocking body. These days I am lucky if I can make it through a workout without peeing a little in my pants.

Spartan race?!! You're a beast!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your bosses. That's never fun or easy to deal with!!!! I HATE those middle managers who are so snobby and treat people that way. :/ thinking of you guys!!!

humble brag away girl! you deserve it. you worked your butt off and you should be proud!
i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the muppets have done this before with kermit and miss piggy. or maybe that was barbie and ken. so weird.
i was just talking to KC about mona lisa smile the other day lol.

Shelby | Recent Somethings said...

Haha couldn't agree more with Kristen; you earned the bragging rights, my friend! Yesss to taco night out with friends! I think it is so stupid about Kermit and Miss Piggy; they just needed to ride the coattails of poor real people divorcing and throw the Muppets in the news too :(

Erin LFF said...

So I haven't watched ANY of those movies- haha. I'm out of the loop apparently ;) I went out on Tuesday too for a going-away party for a coworker and it was weird to be out late in the middle of the week. Fun, but I was paying for it the next day!! Hehe. Sending you good job vibes girl- I know the feeling.

Emily said...

Sending positive vibes your way! A difficult boss can make for unhappy, stressful days so I hope it gets better!! xx

Julia said...

Yeah I love the Muppets but I'm sorry, divorce is not a joke and that was in poor taste. That s'mores pizza looks amazing! Yay for taco tuesday, sounds like so much fun!

Frequency is one of my all time favorite movies... I love when his mom and dad dance in the kitchen...

I don't usually like going any where mid week either... but I usually have fun if I do but like you my question is the same... where did my 20's go..lol

I don't the Miss Piggy and Kermit break up either... not funny

mmm! Taco Tuesday was so delicious and so much fun! I want to see the Woman in Gold solely for Tatiana Maslany and Helen Mirren and the awesome story!
Also, the Kermit/Piggy thing isn't a stunt, it's a set-up for the new Muppet Show which is supposed to be a "documentary" and in the upcoming show they are broken up (trying to do a Jim/Pam thing from "The Office"), so they have to do the "press" and they may use some actual reaction tweets about it for the show. Don't worry, I believe in love and I believe in Kermiggy!

I know it is scary quitting a job and finding another one but having no clue when that job will come or where it will be but I promise you that you won't regret it. Being unhappy in your job is totally not worth it, you don't deserve to be treated like that by your boss. You have so many opportunities out there in this world and I say go for it. Sending you all the support and good vibes girly! xo

I can't deal with micromanagers, it's too much!

Girl, brag away! If I'd completed an event like that, I'd be bragging too:) You know I'm a Disney watching homebody too, so if we lived closer together, we could have a movie date (with some wine, of course!)

Queen In Between said...

Brag away....you work hard and you look strong!

Micro-managing is stupid. Employees can often do a much better job without someone breathing down their necks.

Brianne said...

I haven't seen Mona Lisa Smile in so long! Such a good movie though.

You SHOULD be on a high after that run! It's amazing! You look crazy fit, too. Be proud! :D
