remembering: all the joys of Christmas passed. I always get incredibly nostalgic and sentimental this time of year and honestly found myself tearing up a few days go thinking of childhood Christmas traditions and the new traditions I've created with Le Husband. They were happy tears, however it was still strange, haha.#amitheonlysentimentaloneoutthere
wrapping: a few gifts here and there and sending Christmas cards.
baking: nothing at the moment but have lots of Christmas goodies on my list. Caramel corn, chocolate mouse pie, double chocolate crinkle cookies, sugar cookies and of course Ina Garten's hot cocoa.
decorating: the apartment this weekend. Honestly, I have yet to catch the DECORATE ALL THE THINGS FEVER this year and it's a bit off putting. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to get out all the pretty decorations, however I think I might not bring everything out this year. #weird
wishing: I had more money to give people who are financially strapped a good Christmas. I am BEYOND blessed in life and every year I wish I could win the lottery to help the needy in the world, especially the children.
giving away: a bunch of my favorite things with some of my favorite ladies. I've teamed up with Erin, Kayla, Kristin and am so excited to bring you our Favorite Things giveaway. #everyonelovesgifts #favoritethings

ReplyDeleteLove giving small things that I know someone loves but never buys for themselves, ya know cashmere socks, that lip gloss, nail polish, KS earrings
ReplyDeleteI love to make homemade gifts! I will be doing that again this year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! And now you're making me want to bake all the goodies - yum!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great giveaway girl!! We've been wrapping a little too but funny enough are almost done - I'm kind of sad! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet giveaway! I had a hard time getting the decorating started but once I did it came to me. I think my issue was the surgery though. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI don't know!
ReplyDeleteFun! I love giving and getting fun socks. And your cookie list... mmmm!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun giveaway! I would definitely put the Starbucks giftcard to good use, haha! My favorite drink from there right now is the eggnog latte...not good nutritionally at all, but its good for my soul!
ReplyDeleteI get really nostalgic this time of year too. I miss traditions that my family had when I was younger, but as they get phased out as time goes on and life situations change, I have to remind myself that it makes room for new traditions to take ahold.
I feel the same way around the holidays. So many fun memories of Christmas' past. Helping others also seems to always be more impactful this time of year. I think once I became involved with my kids school the magnitude of the children in our own community who are disadvantaged just astounded me. Have a great rest of the week Pinky!
ReplyDeleteHelping people is definitely something I wish I could do more of... We haven't received our cards yet, can't wait to send them out! I always love getting cards in the mail! Happy Wednesday! Xo
ReplyDeleteI love giving gifts! I try to be a little practical and a little fun at the same time. Something they need, but that's more fun than what they would necessarily buy!
ReplyDeleteAll your goodies sound amazing! I am coming over for those crinkle cookies!
ReplyDeleteI like to give homemade gifts.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I love Christmas. It's my favorite time of year.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, what a fun giveaway! I am with you...I always say I wish I had Oprah money because I just want to help make the world a better place. Every year we buy gifts for children in need and I'm feeling bad because we really don't have much extra money so we're not doing as much this year. But, it all starts somewhere, right? Glad to know we can help make a difference even in a little way!
ReplyDeleteI love all the sentiment and nostalgia in the air this time of year! My favorite gifts to give are ones that I know my husband or family have mentioned throughout the year, and I catch them by complete surprise <3
ReplyDeleteI don't quite have the fever yet to decorate, but we got our tree this weekend, did lights on it last night, and will gradually put on ornaments the rest of the week :) Great minds totally think alike with the giveaways today. I love everything in yours!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my favorite gifts to give are candles and Starbucks gift cards... sorry, I'm boring haha!
ReplyDeleteThis year, I'm all about the adult coloring books as gifts
ReplyDeleteY'all rock for doing the giveaway. I haven't really gotten the decorating bug yet either.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone, I get sentimental about the holidays too. I feel like this year even more so since next Christmas I'll be married, so I'm trying to spend as much time with my family before we have to split time with in-laws!
ReplyDeleteI love to give friends really rich & moisturizing body cream and bubble bath because it gets so dry and cold in the mountain west.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things to give are usually cute things that I would love to get myself and I think are that person's style. Like jewelry, scarves, etc. (Clearly I don't really like buying for guys much! Ha!)
ReplyDeleteI always get nostalgic this time of year too! It is hard not to be. I haven't been listening to as much Christmas music as I usually do. I just doesn't feel like Christmas yet. Maybe it is the warm weather here? I don't know?! I am trying to plug in my tree every night to feel the spirit.
ReplyDeleteI love to give gifts that are thoughtful and bought because you want to not because you are obligated to!
ReplyDeleteI love to give (and receive) yummy scented candles.
ReplyDeleteI would love to say that I love buying gifts that have meaning, but it's a lie. I want to get something and be done! I hate buying gifts only because I constantly doubt what I'm buying....
ReplyDeleteI love getting personalized gifts depending on the recipient. I try paying attention to what they may want or need and go based on that as well :)!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gifts to give are either tickets to a concert or performance, something that the person and I can share in together or lately its been one of the Humans of New York books. Its beautiful photography that tell the most wonderful stories.
ReplyDeleteI am always super emotional. More so now that I am older.
ReplyDeleteI spy the Adele album....that's amazing!! Very cool giveaway. I love giving gifts in general...probably clothing, jewelry/accessories and sweet smelling things.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is leaving for the next couple weeks so I'll be baking and wrapping up a storm while he's gone!! And double crossing my fingers for that awesome giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI literally have been feeling on the verge of tears for the past few days as I've been sitting, listening to Christmas music, and thinking back on all the fun Christmas traditions from year's past! Glad I'm not alone...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'll be stopping by later this month to be a taste tester for all those chocolate baked yummies ;)
We're getting our tree up this weekend, as we just returned from out-of-state for the long Thanksgiving holiday. Cannot wait! I usually give out a lot of gift cards as gifts - not my 1st choice but that's what everyone keeps asking for!

That popcorn!!! YUM! Totally going to make that!
ReplyDeleteI just love your heart, my friend! You are the sweetest ever!
AND what a fun giveaway!!
I love to give homemade gifts. Every years since we were kids, we would get a new ornament on Christmas Eve. The last few years I've started making them rather than my Mom buying then. It's always special to see them pulled out every year.
ReplyDeleteI am here through the link up at While I'm Waiting. I love Christmastime!!

ReplyDeleteI love to give things that I know someone wouldn't buy for themselves, regardless of how big or small.
ReplyDeletei want all the things you are baking. mmm chocolate pie and hot chocolate sound heavenly together lol
ReplyDeletei feel you on wishing we could help everybody. i grew up rather poor and we still always bought a gift for a kid at kmart (i don't remember what it was called, but lots of places do it here as well). every little bit helps!
Hmm my favorite gift to give is probably a photobook. I love making them on Shutterfly because they're so personal. People love it!
ReplyDeleteI like to give crafty things that I find on etsy.com.
ReplyDeleteI like giving gourmet strawberries an chocolates if I know they like it, but usually will settle with a gift card so I can make sure they get something they like.
