All this cold weather nonsense has me wanting to curl up all day and sip hot cocoa. Sadly that isn't an option so I'm doing my best to combat the frigid weather with my winter wear repeats. We all have our trusty standbys and below are my favorites this time of year. #warmandcuteisamust #gimmeallthecozy
I'm all about cozy comfort at home so I basically live in my flannel pjs and robe after I shower on the weekends. Silky robes are super cute, but the flannel or terry cloth fabric gets a lot more use from me year round.
I can't forget my favorite pair of fuzzy flips, they keep my feet warm year round and man are they soft. My aunt gave us a pair for Christmas and I have never looked back. They are fabulous at keeping my feet warm and give them a little breathing room in the summer.
Warm socks are a must when I sleep, yes even in the summer, but they really get a workout in the winter. I love to stock up on them when they are on sale, they make for great gifts, too.
Combating the snowy outdoors is never fun, but fashionable boots and a warm furry hat makes it a bit easier, right?
Now, we can't forget our bodily maintenance in the winter. I swear by Vaseline for your lips/hands and coconut oil as lotion. YES, lotion. I slather it on after my shower and it keeps my skin so soft and the smell makes me think of a tropical paradise.
What are your winter wear must haves?

ReplyDeletei hope the weather gets better and warmer soon! that dang groundhog lied to us with an early spring! great tips to keep winter-ready for mind, body, and soul!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about the thick robe!! The cute silky ones just don't get the job done. We got hit with a ton of snow this morning too!
ReplyDeleteLove a good Bring It On reference! Cozy robes are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than be cozy when it's super cold outside! It's really starting to warm up in Texas, and it kind of makes me sad because I want to wear my fuzzy boots more!
ReplyDeleteI am a nanny, studying to be a teacher, so I could never work from home.. Haha but I can just imagine myself on the couch with coffee and the laptop and working away.. Just perfect.. Hope you enjoyed that! Xo

I'm so glad you have a boss who understands and lets you work from home! My last job was AWFUL about that so every time the weather got bad, I would have major anxiety about it. go figure that the place it happens more regularly knows how to deal with it better. ;)
ReplyDeleteCome to Arizonaaaaaaaaaa! It's 90 freakin' degrees (WAY too soon!) Or maybe I should come visit you and get a winter fix since it IS still February!
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with fuzzy slips and a robe for a bitter cold day!
ReplyDeleteI loved bring it on! I think it's one of my favorite movies Kirsten Dunst is in. She's been in a lot of odd movies too.
ReplyDeleteHope it warms up for you! We were mild this weekend, still 40-50s, but not as bad as it sounds like it was for you. I love warm pjs and big oversized sweaters and slippers. But for some reason I don't seem to have any anymore. So it's a lot of blanket time on the sofa and cuddles from Sophie.

I've never thought about using coconut oil before, but need to try it now. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was soo cold this weekend. It made getting out of bed so hard. Thank God for my uggs this weekend and my warm hat. If my feet and head are warm, I can deal. I have having cold feet. Let's hope it gets warmer soon.
ReplyDeleteI am starting to be done with winter and the cold! All things flannel are very necessary!
ReplyDeleteI got some sort of flannel THICK pants on Black Friday for like $5 - never wore them until 2 weeks ago - & now, I never want to take them off when the temp is below 40 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI'm all about thick warm socks too - cant sleep without them
All great things to keep you nice and warm! I hope it warms up a little for you guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Courtney, it's way too hot here in Southern California, we in the high 80's all week, what happened to Spring...NOOOOO!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the frigid temps you guys were experiencing this past week, but look at all those cozy duds to keep warm. Gotta love the warm fuzzies! And YES to the "Toros in the atmosphere" reference. Every time I say brrrr... that's what I hear next :-D

I think it's just time for you to come to FL then! ;-) Seriously though the Vaseline products are totally the best when it comes to helping with Winter dry lips and skin!
ReplyDeleteHI, is it spring yet?! ;) I live in fleece leggings at home and warm socks too! :) Vaseline is seriously the ONLY thing that helps with chapped lips in these winter months I feel like. I put it on every night before bed!
ReplyDeleteCompared to previous winters, it hasn't been that cold so I feel bad complaining. LOL
ReplyDeleteI can never wear socks to bed unless I'm sick.
Brr sounds so cold! Warm pajamas and fuzzy socks make me happy! I used coconut oil to cook with but haven't been brave enough to use it on my hair or skin yet although I know some people who rave about it.
ReplyDeleteI might have to try coconut oil as lotion! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYES to flannel! Nothing cozier than putting some on, or using flannel sheets, in the winter!
ReplyDeleteMy skin is crazy dry - coconut oil sounds like something I need to try! Love wearing cozy clothes when it is cold out - those socks look so nice and warm. Those boots are super cute, too. Love how high they are to keep the snow from seeping in!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend was flat out brutal! I am so over the winter it's not even funny!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on vaseline and warm pajamas and socks! I am so over this cold weather!
ReplyDeleteWarm fuzzy socks, fleece scarf around the house, flannel PJs and tea, hot tea....hand lotion too.
ReplyDeleteI prefer socks t bed too!! Hubby thinks I'm crazy!! I am also a slipper girl!!! I can do flannel pants, but a tank top to bed is a must!! I get too hot in long sleeves!!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving those flannel pj's they are super cute!
ReplyDeleteCome here. Its going to be 72 today or 80 on Friday,
ReplyDeleteCoconut oil is seriously the most magical concoction ever. Love using it year round!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the best fluffy warm robe from Nordstrom a couple of weeks ago and it is everything I thought it would be. It's incredible!
ReplyDeletehahahaha bring it on. love that movie and that song, used to jam to it all the time.
ReplyDeletei wish i wore cute pjs and a robe, i basically walk around in 2 pairs of sweats (one skinny, one big), 5 tops and a hoodie, and like 3 pairs of socks. hahaha. i get really cold!
i swear i don't know how to get the dang coconut oil out of the jar. it's solid!
Yes yes yes to a good cozy robe - a must have! I've been living in my new Sorel boots, definitely the best purchase I made this year. So over the cold, too - you know it's sad when it was 30 degrees out today and I thought that was warm!!
ReplyDeleteUgh I'm so over the cold weather, I forgot how warmth felt because the moment it cracks 30 degrees people freak out in Chicago about the "heat wave". Hot cocoa is probably the only good thing about the cold!
