The past few days have been a bit, um, on the annoying side, I guess you would say. Nothing major obviously, and with everything I know others [dear friends] are dealing with I feel dumb whining. Yet, I can't keep the cursor off the computer screen, so it is what it is for me.
I'm dealing with the most random injury annoyance right now and it's driving me nuts. Somehow, earlier this week I strained TRICEPS on my left arm?!? Yes, my triceps? Who does that? And who does that without knowing how?!? I'll tell you, this girl right here.
Now, you might be thinking, 'That's not too bad' and normally, I'd agree with you. However, I can't lift my left arm level with my shoulder, without feeling a major twinge and that has been making life a bit difficult. I can't reach high on the shelf with my left hand, can't put any weight on my left arm [aka can't do yoga] and can't reach clothes to pack my suitcase.
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that I have a GI-NOR[HUGE]MOUS kickball tournament in my very near future?!?! This hurt arm thingamujig needs to move on, post immediatehaste. Oh and if the injury could whisk the sniffles/allergies/sickness away too, I'd be forever grateful.
Before you leave, thinking I'm a crazy kickball girl [which I am] that only complains about her problems [I'm not I swear], I want to [confess] a lil secret. Well, secret might not be the best word, but one of the keys to my usually
Babies seem to be in the water everywhere, am I right? Don't go looking in my
Thankfully one of my dear blog friends is no longer struggling and I am beyond over the mooooooooon excited for her. I started reading Allison's blog a few years ago, right when she started sharing her infertility struggle. It wasn't something I could empathize with, since I'm not in that stage of life, but I could sympathize with her struggle and could hear her pain in her words. I've been praying for her sweet family for awhile and literally, JUMPED FOR JOY when I saw this picture on her blog.

Today, I'm looking to the sun of my friends, to remind myself that something might be troubling me today, but others are experiencing great joy. Wanna help me out?!! Tell me the amazing things going on in your life right now. My triceps could use you ;)!

injuries suck so much ass. i hate it because it totally messes with your workouts and life in general. i somehow injured my forearm and it made pushups and lifting SO HARD because i'd always feel that twinge so i acupunctured the hell out of it and then it was all better.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you hurt your triceps! Injuries are the worst. :( I hope it gets better way before your kickball tournament!
ReplyDeleteIt takes major talent to strain your triceps! Haha! Hope you get to feeling better soon! And I'm so excited for you friend! I too just recently had a friend who has been struggling with infertility get pregnant. It's such a happy time to see a dear friend finally get what they've always wanted and totally deserve!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, injuries are annoying. And congrats to your friend - so exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about babies - I so love them and can't wait to have one...but I can wait if that makes sense!!! I hope that injury heels soon for you doll!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your injury. Hope you are feeling better soon. What doesn't break us only makes us stronger.
ReplyDeletegoing to be honest when the picture popped up on my bloglovin' i thought you were announcing something !!! but still yay for your friend!
ReplyDeleteThat stinks that you are injured! Boo!!
ReplyDeleteI totally thought you were announcing something big when I saw the picture, but, I agree, I love seeing other's little blessings. It makes my heart smile.
UGh! I'm sorry you hurt your tricep! Hopefully it gets better quickly!
ReplyDeleteAlso - I totally thought it was your announcement for like .5 seconds, and got pretty upset about not knowing. BAHAHAHAHA #blogfriendproblems
Sorry about your injury (I know how frustrating it is to not be able to workout) but I love how you are turning it around and focusing on the good, even in other's lives! Yay babies, always so fun when friends are expecting!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour tricep deserves a little break - i mean at least you work them! I took a TRX class on Monday and now I realize how much I neglect my tri's, lats and traps! Rest up, buttercup!
ReplyDeleteYeooowwchhh!! Hope your injured arm heals QUICK! And hooray for all the new babies on the horizon!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I'm right there with you on the injury train. I always injure the most random muscles. I strained my neck jokingly trying to lift 130 lb dumbbell. I wasn't even really trying to lift it, I was being theatrical! Hope you feel better soon. And congrats to your friends on their pregnancies!

How on earth did you injure it? Just lifting? That's cray and annoying. So... Allison's news is the best! I had been waiting to tell her my news and finally did and she leaked her secret to me. Thrilled for her and me and your auntieness. is that a word? Agh, just so much goodness going on! Get better soon, and good luck this weekend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAw my heart always hurts for the women who struggle to get pregnant. A huge congrats to the mama to be!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are hurt! That totally sucks. Hopefully you'll be back to normal soon. :) Hang in there girl.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're hurt, hope you heal up asap! I jumped with joy when I saw Allison share their news too!!
ReplyDeleteIt's super funny when we realize how much we use our muscles in our everyday lives once we injure them. Not that yours is funny by any means! Because that sounds super painful and unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteI've realized the same thing on pregnancy announcements! Three girls that I follow on Instagram have announced that they are pregnant.
These days have been annoying. I'm going to blame it on the Full Moon. Things always seem a little off when we have one.
ReplyDeleteI know, there's a crazy baby boom going on (there were 4 babies in my immediate family between March and April), and I'm glad your friends can fulfill their dreams of a baby!
ReplyDeleteRandom injuries are the worst! So annoying! Congrats to all of your friends! How exciting!!
ReplyDeleteYay for your friend and the baby. Boo for the tricep- that really sucks. I have been dealing with an ongoing injury as well so I can def sympathize.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter side there will be tons of things you can get done in place of going to the gym - until you can return to the gym. (not really sure that helped!)
It's like when I get aggravated over the small life annoyances is when something so much larger than me comes around and smacks me over the head. Such exciting news on the baby front!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal quickly!! Love all the baby news today...makes me smile!!
ReplyDeleteso glad you were able to find some happiness--and what an awesome thing it is! congrats to your friends, and hopefully the rest of the week will be better for ya. no more injuries!
ReplyDeleteOh nooooooooo! I'm sorry about your injury! I wouldn't even know what to do to help a tricep? Icy hot? Or deep blue if you use oils? ha! But seriously, praying for a quick heal because this weekend is going to be SO FUN for you!!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! I hope it is better in time for your game!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Allison!!! Baby news is always so exciting :) :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so behind on reading, and I'm sorry to hear about your injury and other annoying things going on! I know how those weeks are- and even if they aren't "much" they are still there and not always fun to deal with. So happy you have other awesome, happies to celebrate and to keep you going. Including all these babies going around!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteJust now getting to read this post. Hate that you're dealing with a few tough things, but happy to see that you're still approaching the bad with a good attitude - that's the way to do it, sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteAnd love all the exciting things happening lately! So fun!
I still can't believe she's preggers, and it's so awesome! I hope you are all healed!
ReplyDeleteHOW DID I NOT SEE THIS POST?? MY HEART JUST SMILED SO BIG and now I'm also crying (happy tears!) I still cannot believe how much God has blessed me. Plus, I wanna say thank you AGAIN for all of your prayers through the process. I know that God hear you *and anyone else* who sent a prayer up for us. My heart is full.
