The Weekend That Flew By in a Blink

I mean, does anyone else think this weekend flew by incredibly fast? Seriously, I can't believe it's Monday morning. Not complain, just a bit in disbelief. My weekend originally wasn't busy however things crept up and boom, it was Sunday night and bedtime. But now Monday's here, I'm ready to get after it and have a good week. I hope you will too!

Here's my weekend in snapshots …

… Homemade chicken zoodle soup after a cold morning of kickball practice.

… Le Husband took his brother to the OSU vs PSU game in Columbus on Saturday night. They had a great time watching the Buckeyes win and Le Husband sent me an awesome picture of the band. #gobucks

… Pictures from a review you'll see later this week.

… I finally found a DEEP lipstick [per the fashion this fall] tried it out. #onthefenceyayornay

… Helicopters that were circling DC on Saturday. #ilovehelicopters #iblameakathankmydad

… The cooler temperatures finally made me take steps to change over my wardrobe. Sad to be packing away some of my favorite summer outfits, but it was nice seeing some of my old fall friends.

… The Bengals beat the Bills, woohoo whooodey!

… A Harry Potter weekend brought forth some great movie moments. I personally think the drunk Harry scene in the Half Blood Prince was one of his more brilliant moments in the series. Am I the only one?

… Another soccer game, another win!

* Not pictured: My mise en place for the steak meal I cooked for my family. It was delicious and an inmprotu family evening. -- An amazing meal of sweet potato nachos for dinner Saturday night. -- One dysfunctional kickball practice. -- Naps! -- A cold bike ride. -- Work done on our Christmas cards!

How was your weekend? Was it as fast as mine?

Loving that lipstick on you girl! Rock it! I desperately want to be able to try to pull off some dark lipstick, I need to just try it. I seriously haven't worn anything besides a nude lip except on my wedding day!

Dang, I wish I would have watched some Harry Potter this weekend, although I'm not sure when I could have squeezed it in. Mine was as full and fast as yours! Also I think I need the recipe for sweet potato nachos - yum!

Love impromptu dinner dates!! Good for you for going through your closet! I hate that job and never do it, but maybe if I did I would get rid of some clothes too haha. Sounds like a fun weekend!!

That chicken soup looks good!! I have been excited to grab for some of my fall favorites in the last week too. Can you believe I still haven't seen the HP movies. I read the books but haven't seen a single movie. I need to get on that! Looks like you had a great weekend!

Mmmm I've been wanting to make homemade chicken noodle soup so badly recently - that looks delicious!

The lipstick color looks great on you! It's a dramatic color but i think it looks nice on brunettes and perfect for parties or certain events when you want to pep up your makeup. Or you can wear it everyday to work too lol. Just depending on your style.

I love the lipstick! I need a deep one for fall. I tried my normal red one on the other day & wiped it off right away because it was just too bright for the season. This weekend definitely flew by that's for sure! Happy Monday!

Homemade zoodle soup?! Sounds DELISH! Come cook for me?! Ha! I actually have to cook this week and I'm kind of dreading it... Mostly the meal planning part. It's hard to get back into when you've had a good break!
Gorgeous lip color on you!! You are rocking it!
