Believe. Thrive. Simplify. Grow. Learn.
All of these choices make for a wonderful year and I applaud those that have already decided their goals. This year, I'm taking longer to define ALL of my goals, because I'm still trying to figure out WHAT exactly I want to work on and achieve. For whatever reason, I'm all over the place this year. I made a quick list back in December, but haven't really found myself committing to them.
I like using this space to hold myself accountable, but I hate failing. If I don't outwardly acknowledge what I want to achieve, I won't fall flat on my face in front of y'all. Not the best outlook, I know, but I want to be sure I have everything in a row before I share my big plans.
However, I'm not just going to let myself completely off the hook. Below are the five things I want to achieve this year.
Fitness goal [will share this once I figure it out.]
Simplify [in life and in our home.]
Four Learning Books [I love to read for fun, but want to LEARN this year.]
1 new big girl recipe [my recipe repertoire needs to be pumped up.]
Grace [for myself and for others.]
DO [Do more! Do less! Do yoga! Do that race! Do take that challenge!]

What are your goals for the year?
This is a great word for the year! Your list of resolutions is very inspiring...I love the one about grace and the one about learning! With school sometimes, I feel like my brain is too full to learn anything outside of my classes, and I hate that! I would definitely like to take more time this year for learning about small/manageable things!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love the idea of simplifying and finding some new big girl recipes. My menu rotation needs to change up a bit as well ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat goals!! I'm trying to simplify a bit too so much accumulates especially with kids. I'm in a donating spree.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! Totally agree with you for making resolutions and then getting worked up about not following through!
ReplyDeleteYES!! I always have the best excuse of "no time" I never have any time to do this or do that...but, this year...I'm going to have time..I'm going to make time...I'm going to DO more!
ReplyDeleteThe year of "DO." Love it. And can't wait to follow along to see all the amazing things that you do this year, friend!:)
ReplyDeleteOh girl, I loooooove this! I have no doubt that you're going to take advantage and make the most of "do"ing... 2015 is going to be such a satisfying year for you!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all that you accomplish!!! I have to say the one big girl recipe will be great - lots of things to try!! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! I hope you have a great year of DOing!

This was so inspiring to read today! I'm ready to start doing!
ReplyDeletegood luck on your doing year girl! if anyone can do it - you can ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it, such a positive word! I think it's great that your taking your time to figure out your goals instead of just throwing a list out there, it shows that you're serious about them!
ReplyDeleteThese are great goals! I am sure it will be a successful 2015 for you. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can be Nike.... Just DO it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the first year I don't have a long list of goals, I always include things on there that are just setting myself up for failure haha. I want to enjoy this year, read a couple books (I usually list 5-10, never happens) and just focus on my relationships with God, my husband, family & friends. Cheers to 2015 <3
ReplyDeleteI love that you are taking your time to define your goals! I felt like I rushed through mine and didn't really spend the time on them to make them useful. Great goals too girl! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI think "do" is the perfect word for this year! Love the big girl recipe - you must share if you find one! Happy 2015 my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! I want to remember to read some nonfiction this year too- I love a good novel, but I'd like to read topical things that interest me as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Do it, get to it...I don't know. Simplify is my word this year, so I'm with you on that. I'd be interested in reading some learning books.
ReplyDeleteI want to DO more this year too! I want go out more and explore and say yes to more things! Hope you have a happy 2015 :)

Simplify in the home sounds wonderful! I started cleaning stuff out today and already threw a ton of stuff in the trash and have a box started for Goodwill!
ReplyDeleteI need to read more too. ;)
I like your approach! I tend to focus on a small number of things and then let whatever else may be come naturally. I'm also super indecisive, so I'm prone to changing my goals anyway. Actually, one of my goals for the year is to be more decisive haha I like your word "Do!" I think I can take that and roll with it :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I feel like fitness goals are always the hardest to decide on and they are one of the easiest to track, but no one likes failing at them. For recipe inspiration I love Pinterest (obviously) but also Cooking Light Magazine!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals and the fitness goals will come as you start exercising :)
