… I was a bad employee at home yesterday. The first big snow was too distracting to stay glued to the emptier and I needed to catch up on some sleep. I did work an hour later than normal, though.
… I don't understand people that can't take what they dish out. #cantstandtheheat
… Watching people use the self scan stations in a grocery store with a full cart makes me all kinds of ragey. I had to brave the store during the snow storm on Monday night and almost lost it when I stood in line for 15 minutes because of idiots.

… I don't think I could take direction from her because she couldn't do the work she would be correcting. It's a pet peeve of mine when teachers are not in shape enough to even demonstrate what they need. I know as we get older we aren't as shape, but I wouldn't yell at a student to do a push up, if I couldn't do a push up.
… This pin makes me scratch my head something fierce. I'm not a cat lover by any means, but um, really?

… Warm weather is in my future and I am so excited. #hurryupsun

Girl there is an instructor at my gym that legitimately irks me and I refuse to take his class because not only is he super mean and not motivational but he is so overweight and doesn't do the exercises EVER!! I've complained so many times that I have just resigned to not taking his classes lol!!! Happy Wednesday! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteIt's been sunny here but still cold (I live in Florida) I can't wait for spring so the weather can warm up! I also never understood why people can't take what they dish out. Some people can be so mean and rude, and once someone acts that way to them they throw a fit! Weirdos... lol

Bahaha, that ice skater's reaction to the judges makes me laugh every time - but this is the first time I've seen it compared to standing in line with idiots so that pretty much makes it perfect! Good for you for taking a nap during the day - that pretty much makes YOU perfect :)
ReplyDeleteLove that Ash Wednesdsy reminder! :-) And those cat boots are so wrong... Gave me a good giggle though!
ReplyDeleteI have to keep my husband from going through the self-checkout line ALL the time. He thinks it's faster, but when we have a full cart of stuff, I'm like "HECK no!" That's what a cashier is for!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd cat boots? Just. No.
Happy Ash Wednesday, dear girl. Thank you for the reminder today!
Wait. Are those cat leggings? Like... for real? Wow LOL! And I agree, instructors who don't do what they're instruction irk me. Don't tell me what to do when you can't even do it!

i confess: i'm a total ahole bro when it comes to taking "advice" from others re: working out.
ReplyDeletethe other day i went to a bootcamp class and one of the stations had bent-over rows so i did them the way i've been doing them for years (with correct form, duh) and the girl beside me with "corrected my form" and told me to do it "this way". while she totally didn't mean it in a bad or condescending way, my ahole bro-ness automatically made me think "BITCH PLEASE, i eat bent over rows for breakfast who the fuck are you?!?". then i thought "wtf, why am i being such an asshole?" and i laughed and nodded and didn't say anything #doyouevenliftbro #aholebrosforthewin
I could never work with Abby, she is so mean. I haven't watched the show in awhile, I so need to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteThe cat leggings/boots/whatever they are..nope.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree-it is so hard to take a class when it is obvious the instructor can't do what you're doing! Also, what is that cat thing? So weird.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to give a different side to the self check out comment. I am one of those "idiots" who has a full cart using the self check out. My reason for doing so it not to hold you up, but to make sure my item that I work so hard to pay for get bagged in such a way that they are not just thrown in to a bag with no regard. I use my own bags and prefer to bag myself. Just thought you needed the other side.
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE to take advantage of enjoying the snow day, it’s like a rule! I cannot wait for warmer weather – it feels like it’s so close yet so far.
ReplyDeleteOhmygoodness!!! Full carts at the self checkout drive me nuts!!!!! Totally defeats the purpose!!! Leave that to the professionals for sure!
ReplyDeleteI want to punch Abby from Dance Moms, she stresses me out.
ReplyDeleteYES yes yes to the full carts at the self checkout! Major pet peeve! Also so annoying when five out of thirty lanes are open and they all have lines - I could go on and on about things that annoy me at the grocery store haha
ReplyDeletei dont care if you have a full cart at the self checkout, i just care if you are slow and stupid! haha. you know i love my kitties but that pin is super weird -and i am wearing kitty shoes right now! seriously haha.
ReplyDeletethis just reminded me of the fact that i even have my fitness pal. i havent logged on in months :s
ReplyDeleteLol @ the self scanner at stores, it's so true! People have no clue how to use them!
ReplyDeleteThose cat pants? I'm with you... Totally don't get it, ha
ReplyDeleteUnless you have cashier experience, you should not be allowed to use the self-check out line.. and if you're over the age of 60. Most senior citizens should have their own checkout lane. When I see someone pull out a checkbook to pay with I almost have a heart attack. This is 2015, how is writing a check with ALL YOUR ACCOUNT AND PERSONAL INFO on it SAFER than using a card that takes minutes less?
ReplyDeleteUgh, I think that touched the I-used-to-be-a-cashier nerve.
Those cat leggings... so interesting! haha And I only like to use the self checkout at the grocery when I'm with my husband so one of us can scan and the other can bag at the same time- otherwise I get too much anxiety with people waiting behind me!
ReplyDeleteI just finished my first week and a half logging my food, it's serious business haha. It's getting a little easier though, but I can see why the weekends are harder! Those cat pants, what the?!
ReplyDeleteThe stabby feeling when people are slothy through self-checkout is uncontrollable. I get you.
ReplyDeleteOh girl. Idiots at the grocery store are the worst! I NEVER go to WalMart anymore because Ive learned thats where the most idiots shop haha
ReplyDeleteI would probably chose sleep too over work #dontblameya. I don't watch Dance Moms but I agree with your train of thought!
ReplyDeleteSnow!!! How fun! I know I don't want to live in it again, but this post kind of makes me miss it! I always love your confessions :) Love you friend!
ReplyDeleteIf you dish it you should be able to take it! Totally!
ReplyDeleteI hate when people have a full cart at self checkout! I'll only do it at Walmart because there is never a wait there, so I don't feel bad. However, on post where it clearly states 20 items or less, I want to shank them.
ReplyDeleteI hate when people don't know how to USE the self checkout and their 3 items FEELS like 30. I mean CMON!!!!! Go to the regular line if you don't know what you're doing.
ReplyDeleteAre those cat things PANTS?! Too far, cat lovers... too far.
Oh I am totally jealous of your work from home option... I would have totally been "late" too! And yes, the self checkout lane can be so frustrating! I never understand why people with a full cart go there....
