1] This weekend my BFFER, T, came down with her beau. We enjoyed a double date at a delicious new restaurant, Il Forno, and just hung out. It was a very impromptu dinner, but a dinner that was so needed. Since she lives two hours away we really don't get to hang out much. Usually visits are planned weekend in advance, but we both had Saturday night open [for once] and she and her guy were so incredible as they drove four hours round trip for probably a five hour visit. She's always there for me and I'm so thankful to have her in my life. This was posted on my FB wall this week and I just think it's the perfect quote for best friends.
2] This year for Mother's day we are cooking brunch for Mama B. She made no requests, except the normal 'I just want my family together' request, so the three daughters are planning a delicious brunch. Babyspice found some awesome recipes that are totally Mama B, so I went on a search for a sweet dish to even out the savory already bland. CUE ANGELS SINGING ::AHHHHHHHH::! I hope these are as delcious as they look.

4] Has anyone else seen this Lady Gaga article? Apparently her DC concert conflicts with the Washington Wizard's NBA playoff game, so the concert was moved. And now, all her lil monsters are in a tizzy because the date changed, which I get is unfortunate. But, did they REALLY think Ted Leonsis would reschedule a playoff game for a concert?!?! Especially since this is the first playoff run for the Wizards in a REAAAAALLY long time. I'm all for the arts and athletics being equal, but come on people, let's be reasonable.
5] As part of my 'get skinny' program, I've started to increase my cardio, which means I've started to increase my running. I love the high I get while running, but I HATE the feeling of restarting my running routine. It's the absolute worst. I tried tempo runs earlier this week and all I can say is WOOF! It made me want to pull a Fat Amy and just horizontal run ;)!

I like Heather but she needs to lighten up sometimes. I also like the new girl Shannon. Or maybe is should say she is funny (and tragic) to watch!

I got to run quite a bit during our vacation, and learned that I'm definitely not a morning runner :-) This recipe looks awesome, I think I'm going to send it to the hubby! That would be awesome for breakfast!!

ReplyDeleteI'm a big Heather fan! And I love that she's legitimely rich.. and an actual housewife. The OC was starting to drift away from that. I'm liking Shannon, too but she gives her husband SOOOO much crap! Poor guy!
