Today I'm linking up with Katie to say thanks.
Lent has begun, and now is the time to be thankful and look to what I have and not what I need. I'm also choosing to give up a few things and take on some Bible reading for the next 40 days as well. I do admit, I find it refreshing to count serious and not so serious things that I'm thankful for every now and then.
I'm thankful for my Kindle. It lets me enjoy lots of books at once.
I'm thankful for my wonderful family and all they do for me.
I'm thankful for the show Chopped, it's fabulous.
I'm thankful that my husband likes to work out with me. I've tailored my work out to his, but it's awesome having workout time be date time instead of time apart. And that lil pat on the @$$ when I've gone baller status lifting, is pretty awesome too ;)
I'm thankful for the tough season of Lent. Often in life, we Christians get too caught up in our secular life and look to God and Jesus as a 'pit stop'. He needs to be our GPS, and Lent helps us focus on our short comings instead of judging others.
I'm thankful that there is a miracle and new life at the end our Lenten journey.

I'm thankful for a warm apartment, with heat, during these cold, cold days.
I'm thankful for my job. Even though I don't like it, I'm thankful for it. In an economy that's poor and where most jobs are cutting back, my job is growing and I'm able to achieve yearly raises and bonuses.
I'm thankful fun makeup that helps me feel pretty on rough mornings.
I hope you have a blessed day friends < 3
I love you Lent line! What are you giving up this year?
ReplyDeleteAhhh I fricken love Chopped!! I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode!!
ReplyDeleteGod should be our GPS, not our pit stop - TOTALLY agree! Love that! Thanks for sharing this today, sweet girl:)
ReplyDeleteLove all of the things that you love--it's nice to take the time to recognize and reflect on all of the BIG and little things that are going well for us. So so easy to get dragged down by things so this helps :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list! Working out with your love is always encouraging.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching a ridiculous amount of chopped! When they have them on back to back you just keep getting sucked in! Also, a little Jason Derule on repeat is never a bad thing :) So glad you linked up with us!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I just started working out together, too and I'm loving it! And yes, always thankful for makeup in the morning. Sometimes I wish we lived in the 40's because they always seemed to be done up so fabulously! Thanks for linking up with us :) Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful to follow along with your journey on your blog!
ReplyDeleteKaty P "Dark Horse" will NEVER get old! Thanks for linking up with us today :)

Working out with hubbie must be so awesome! I wish we could do that too.
Oh and who can go wrong with Youtube? It just rocks!
Love the reminder that God and Jesus aren't our pit stop! Thanks for linking up with us!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that I can work out with Will too! It's so nice to be able to share that as a hobby.
