TWO DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!
I can barely stand it, can you?!?!?
Christmas you are almost heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere!
I am so, so, SO excited!!!!
This weekend was full of fun, friends and Christmas time stuff
and I loved every minute of it.
Got to see my bffer, enjoyed the 70 degree weather
here in DC and just LOVED life.
I thought about showcasing pictures and such today,
but with it only being TWO days until Christmas,
I didn't really feel that was IMPORTANT.
The GREAT mystery of Christmas is upon us and it's such
AN AMAZING story.
So much more amazing than my weekend.
I've been listening to different Christmas stations since November
and am always touched by the Christian station and their
RELIGIOUS Christmas songs.
Recently, I heard both "Mary Did You Know" and "Breath of Heaven"
and my head starting thinking about this famous disciple and mother
of Christ.
Her courage, her grace, her trust and her loving heart
are so incredibly humbling.
I've often wonderered WHAT choice I would have made
if I were in her place.
Would I say yes?
Would I be strong enough to tell Joseph?
Would I be able to give birth in a stable?
I only hope my faith would allow me to
say YES like Mary.
If you get a chance, give the following videos a listen.
I doubt you'll regret it :)!

My little bit of cheer from the weekend was FINALLY
getting a picture in front of the National Tree.
This is the third year in a row C and I have gone and it's such
a fun and easy tradition.
It may have taken us THREE tries but we made it for 2013!
Such a pretty tree this year!
Please note, the matching UNDER ARMOUR shirts. Oh dear! |
Oh and YES I know Santa is watching and bragging ISN'T something
a good girl should do, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut I gotta say it!
Hey skins fans..HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!???
WINNER WINNER COWBOYS WINNER! :)
I had Mary Did You Know and Breath of Heaven on repeat last year the WHOLE month! It brought me to tears each time I heard those songs. Being pregnant at the time just made me really think about what an amazing woman she was, and the faith she had to mother Christ!
ReplyDeleteLove that you love the Cowboys and National Tree jealousy totally set in... Wishing you the best and brightest Christmas. Thank you so much for being such a great and supportive friend this year. I am excited to see what this next year holds for you and I and us! Love you BOFF.
ReplyDeleteThat tree is gorgeous! I can't believe Christmas is in two days!! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping we make it to the National tree tonight after our Christmas dinner. Hopefully the rain will hold off!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win, bragger :p. Altho I wouldn't be SUPER proud since they almost got beat by the crappy Skins. A win is a win nonetheless!
