+ My fitness program has changed a bit since being on Whole30, as I've gone back to hitting the heavy weights with Le Husband. I'm still doing my twice a week BodyPump classes at lunch [when work allows] and have consistently been hitting up CXWORX once a week too. I lost a decent amount of strength while on Whole30 due to not lifting heavy, but I'm slowly gaining back ground. Which means I'm slowly starting to see progress in my body which is incredibly encouraging. My arms are slowly getting more lean and cut and I am STOKED. Hopefully I'll feel happy with my body this bathing suit season.
+ The past few weeks have been a bit looney tunes for me personally. It's been a bit crazy with travel and such, and work has been a zoo. But, life wasn't just stress related, it was lost related. In the span of a month I've lost my Kindle and my cleats [stolen] which was infuriating and frustrating enough but on Sunday I realized I couldn't find my checkbook. Not just it was miss-placed, literally could not find it anywhere. I searched my purse twice [literally dumped it out], went through all of my sports bags, my gym bag, and my dirty clothes basket [eww, I now]. When that didn't work out I went to every lost and found around the last place I had it to no avail. I felt like I was losing my mind and couldn't understand what was happening. I finally decided I need to go to the bank to change my accounts and wouldn't you know I found my checkbook right in front of my face. Y'all I cried when I found it because I felt so vindicated that it wasn't lost. #hollaatamessofagirl #losingmymind #nonotbabyrelated
+ Weather here in NOVA has been a bit strange. We went straight from winter to summer with very little spring in between. Now, I'm not complaining, you know I only complain about the cold, but I've had to skip a lot of my mid-season wardrobe because of the heat. Wednesday finally brought around some springish temps and I was super excited to throw on one my favorite outfits.

+ This weekend my women's kickball team is heading down to VA Beach to defend our title and I'm feeling the same sense of dread I had last year. The politics and player choices on the team still feels off and I still have issues with player placements. I am pretty sure this weekend will determine whether I stay with this team or quick playing all together. The drama just isn't worth it anymore.
+ The Wanderlust linkup yesterday really has me itching to book another vacation this year. Le Husband and I have a few sprinkled throughout the rest of the year and my family has a STELLAR one booked as well. But, now I want to go somewhere for a long weekend. Somewhere tropical. I'm thinking Jamaica or a Sandals resort, who has suggestions?
+ RHONY is craycray. Like insane in the membrane. Those women in the limo on Tuesday acted worse than high schoolers. I don't understand how grown women, with children can act the way they do. It's mind boggling. And lawd, don't even get me started on Sojna. She is, to quote a Project Runway winner, a 'hot tranny mess'. I would be so embarrassed if she was my mother, seriously.
What are you thinking today, friends?

Dang girl! You are looking good! Look at those ripped arms!! And I totally feel you on things being a bit crazy. I "lost" my keys yesterday and they were literally sitting on the desk RIGHT in front of me.

I do body pump at least once a week and I'm getting into CX worKs as well. Does your gym have Body Attack and Combat too? Two of my other faves from Les Mills.
ReplyDeletegirl put those guns away!!! :D for real, love women who lift; keep at it.
ReplyDeletejamaica is beautiful but in order to do things away from your resort, you will need to book through legit companies who organize that sort of thing due to the high crime rate. i'm not kidding either - my family is from there and even they warn people not to wander around by themselves!! which is too bad since JA is so gorgeous.
so how about aruba? you're guaranteed amazing weather (out of the hurricane belt) and so safe to walk around after dinner. aruba is one of my fav islands to visit.
turks and caicos is also amazing. the beaches are nothing like you've ever seen before!
You go girl with your gym work!! Looking fantastic! I'm glad you found your check book...seriously nothing worse than losing things!!! I'm with you the ladies on RHONY are a bit nuts this season...but I still love it lol! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your gym work! I'm in the baby stages of weights at home and I love how much stronger I feel from it.
ReplyDeleteI hate when I lose stuff! So frustrating. Thank God you found the checkbook before changing it all.
Look at you and those guns! And yayyyy for the linkup inspiring a travel bug, hands down my favorite thing is planning trips and of course the actual trips themselves!
ReplyDeleteSorry the kickball trip is causing a little drama, hope you have fun and do amazing!
Happy Friday Eve :)
Oh and P.S. dooooon't do Sandals! Waaaaay overadvertised and overpriced. You can get soooo much more for your money if you stay at a non-Sandals resort ;-)
ReplyDeleteOur absolute favorite resort ever was the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. We loved Punta Cana more than Fiji! Absolutely gorgeous and amazing resort!
You look amazing--keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI would have been so frustrated about the dang checkbook--it's a great feeling when you find it but a horrible feeling knowing it was in front of you the whole time. My Type A personality just can't handle "misplacing" things.
We went to Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon and it was AMAZING--it is seriously making it hard for us want to go on another vacation if it isn't all-inclusive. However, I don't know if you would want to go to a Sandals if it's only for a weekend...might not get very good rates. I stayed in an all-inclusive in Ochos Rios (not Sandals) that was pretty good but I can't remember the name of it. It was A LOT cheaper than Sandals
your arms look great!! that's the one thing i've been wanting to work harder on. would love all your suggestions on lbs. that's awesome you do it at lunch!
ReplyDeleteOk, so I hate you just a little with your arms. I am slowly getting back into working out, but its rough and I have lost so much strength and sometimes I just have no desire to really workout as all I want to do is sleep instead. But, I love your arms and am so proud of you for getting those guns in shape!
ReplyDeleteLove the look with the pink pants!! We are so itching to get more and more vacations planned.. can there ever be too many?! Can't wait to see where you're headed! For a long weekend Sandals would be great, I've never been to one and really want to!
ReplyDeleteYour looking good mama! You taking any pre-workout?
ReplyDeleteLookin hot girl! Love that blouse!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, your arms are killer!! Way to go girl. You look fabulous. I love the outfit too. Today I'm thinking that I need to start planning for our travel to Indiana in a few weeks and that Cams last day of preschool for the year is Tuesday. :(
ReplyDeleteBabe!! You are killin' it with those arms! Keep it up for me... I'm losing so much muscle (insert the ugly cry emoji here) I was SO proud of arms but now that I'm pregnant it's allllll going downhill. I mean, it's supposed to because I obviously can't work out as hard, but it's still a bit of a bummer to see all my hard work disappear. You'll be my motivation when I hit the gym hard after having this baby!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing a short little cruise the end of this month and I'm SO excited! I wanted a trip with pool, beach and A LOT of food, and that's what we are getting (for super cheap, holla!) ha ha! But a Sandals resort would be heavenly! Too bad Arizona isn't tropical at all ;)
Good luck this weekend girlfriend!!
You crack me up! Glad you found your checkbook...and those arms!! nice work
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteRamona trying to PEE outside the limo... really?!!?!?!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your kickball tourney... hope it all plays out perfectly - literally :)
So sorry you are dealing with drama on the team, it definitely shouldn't be that way!
ReplyDeleteGet it girl with that arm definition! Also, loving your hot pink pants! I'm so jealous of everyone and their cute summery clothes right now! I want to wear cute stuff toooooo!! :) {Sidenote: maternity clothes are nothing but tents and come in black. It's awful.}
ReplyDeleteFirst - LOVE that outfit, and your amazing arms!!! Love love love! Go girl! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck this weekend - I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes well and you guys kick some BOOTYYYYYYYYY!
Lastly - my main thought when I saw this post is what a bad friend I've been! Miss you love bug! #pinkcrayolas
Your arms are looking great! Wish I was that muscular. So happy to hear you have some fun trips planned out but a tropical destination would be awesome to add to the list. What about a 3 or 4-day cruise to Bahamas. Those are so reasonably priced, its not even funny.
ReplyDeleteplease share your workout routine! I have been wanting to do strength and toning exercises and I would love to see what has worked well you for:)
ReplyDeleteyayyyy spring & yayyy cute outfits! those pink pants are perfect!

I love that you are on a kickball team, and a serious one at that! How kick ass...no pun intended! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe Wanderlust link-up yesterday totally got me itching for a trip! I vote for a blogger one! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is ADORABLE! I can definitely see why it's one of your favorites.
