Take a look, it's in a book

I've been reading a ton recently, but most of the books have been the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. I plan to review the series as a whole when I'm done, though so I haven't had any book reviews of late.

However, I took a break from Mitch Rapp [due to a broken heart over a character, dagger!] and picked up some new reads from the library on my kindle for my Vegas trip. I grabbed a bunch of random, but books that I thought would keep my attention on the long flights. Boy, I wasn't disappointed.

"Lauren Stillwell is not your average damsel in distress. When the NYPD cop discovers her husband leaving a hotel with another woman, she decides to beat him at his own game. But her revenge goes dangerously awry, and she finds her world spiraling into a hell that becomes more terrifying by the hour.
In a further twist of fate, Lauren must take on a job that threatens everything she stands for. Now, she's paralyzed by a deadly secret that could tear her life apart. With her job and marriage on the line, Lauren's desire for retribution becomes a lethal inferno as she fights to save her livelihood--and her life.
Patterson takes us on a twisting roller-coaster ride of thrills in his most gripping novel yet. This story of love, lust and dangerous secrets will have readers' hearts pounding to the very last page"

This book was SO GOOD, SO FAST PACED and soooooooooooooo tricky. I seriously had NO IDEA what I was in for when I started this book, it was so insanely crazy good. I'll be honest, the book was 100% not what I thought it was, but that is only because I didn't read the teaser. I had a totally different expectation, but the book completely exceeded all expectations.

Patterson pulled out all the stops and the story kept taking turn upon turns and I was left exclaiming out loud 'SERIOUSLY?!!' multiple times. While reading, I kept saying to Le Husband "You will NOT believe what just happened...", he didn't even have to read the book ;)!

If you want a super quick, interesting and 'oh no she didn't' read, pick this book up ASAP and let me know what you think.

"Little else in life is as dangerous as fire jumping. But there’s also little else as thrilling—at least to Rowan Tripp. Being a Missoula smoke jumper is in Rowan’s blood: her father is a legend in the field. At this point, returning to the wilds of Montana for the season feels like coming home—even with reminders of the partner she lost last season still lingering in the air.
One of the best of this year’s rookie crop, Gulliver Curry is a walking contradiction, a hotshot firefighter with a big vocabulary and a winter job at a kids’ arcade. And though Rowan, as a rule, doesn’t hook up with other smoke jumpers, Gull is convinced he can change her mind…
But everything is thrown off balance, when a dark presence lashes out against Rowan, looking to blame someone for last year’s tragedy. Rowan knows she can’t complicate things with Gull—any distractions in the air or on the ground could be lethal. But if she doesn’t find someone she can lean on when the heat gets intense, her life may go down in flames."

If you like Nora Roberts' style you'll love this book. It has all the normal culprits of hot chick, hot dude, steamy scenes and everything else Nora. I couldn't put this book down, I kept trying to figure out who the 'bad guy' was and why bad things kept happening.

Rowan is one bad@ss and the Zulies sound like the coolest group of fire fighters in the world. I wish I had the guts to do what they do, it takes a special kind of person I must say. If you want a fun, steamy mystery read, grab this book :)

Any fun book recommendations ladies?!?!
