We EnJOYED a Lovely Christmas

Christmas 2013 was definitely one for the record books.

I think I've said it every year here on the bloggy,
but this Christmas was the best to date.

Maybe it had something to do with a husband...or something ;)!

Christmas Eve was a fun time at work as I got to hang out with
a coworker's kids, as we do every year. We enjoyed doughnuts,
hot cocoa, pizza and movies and some work too.

I was able to sneak away from work a bit early, which was nice
because that meant I didn't have to rush to get ready for church.
We were able to keep with a tradition C's family does and had
Christmas Eve pizza before we all headed out to service.

C and I were asked to light the Advent wreath at service
and we were both honored to be asked.

It was SUCH an amazing moment, reading in front of the church
as my husband lit the Christ candle, marking the end of Advent.
I was so content during service, listening to the Christmas story,
with my family and husband by my side.

I had a slight teary moment while the church sang "Silent Night"
by candlelight at the end of the service.
It was just such a powerfully joyous moment, in God's house.

Once service was over we headed home for our annual
Christmas photoshoot and some movie viewing.
First Christmas TOGETHER!!!

Christmas came for me in September < 3

Lovely Sister picture
Christmas morning arrived and the family rejoiced ;)!

It was such a wonderful morning, waking up in my childhood room,
with my husband besides me.

We started around 9am with stockings, then took a break
to eat my favorite breakfast in the world.
There were mimosas, coffee and breakfast casseroles galore.

After we were stuffed, we headed to open presents.

The tree was brimming with awesomeness and everyone enjoyed
opening their gifts from family and Santa.

We all racked up nicely, but the day wasn't defined by gifts.
Although I do have to brag on a gift our parents bought us with
money from our grandparents.

We each received a miniature table tennis game
and it is AWESOME!

One all the gifts were unwrapped it was time to help prep dinner,
call family, be lazy and snack some more.
Thanks for the awesome collage Babyspice!
Dinner was incredible as always.

I ate way too much, as always!

So I lazed around the house with the family, as always!
sneaky paparazzi caught us being lazy
We watched Despicable Me 2, enjoyed dessert and then C and I headed home.
There were still gifts to be open at our apartment from his family and
we also had some of our gifts to exchanged as well.

We exchanged gifts as normal this year, and it was pretty funny
how well we did without really discussing budget and numbers.

My favorite gift from him was a DRESS he bought me ALL by himself.
It's a beautiful green color, super soft and honestly fits like a glove.
WELL DONE HONEY!

My second favorite gift was this book!
SOMEONE knows his wife SOOO WELL ;)

When we got home, I added C's ornament from my mo to our tree.
. I ADORE IT and am so happy to have another married ornament!

All in all it was an amazing Christmas and one that I will
always remember. I couldn't ask for a better
FIRST MARRIED CHRISTMAS!

Since Mama B's birthday is the 26th, I took off work to hangout with her
and the family, and really to just prolong Christmas a bit longer.

We enjoyed our yearly trip to Maggiano's, eating way too much food again!

Now, only 360 days till Christmas 2014...
but who's counting right?!!?

This weekend I also enjoyed a lovely sisters brunch at Zengo.
Bottomlas mimosas and vietnamese tapas....YES PLEASE!

There was a bit of a buzz going on after the yummy guava mimosas,
so went home to take a quick nap, before running some errands
with the husband.

Somehow errands turned into a shopping run, which was awesome.

Cheers to a new pink coat. :)

Sunday morning was a glorious day of sleeping in and then a
super duper productive day around the apartment.

We cleaned out storage units, changed out the living room
and finally got ride of the last group of boxes. WOOHOO

It's so nice having things placed correctly, and makes the place just
a BIT more OURS! :)

How was your Christmas and weekend?

I also very much tear up at Silent Night. It was my mom's favorite carol and it does something to me when we sing it at church.
