Miscellany Mondays

Hello Monday so nice to see you! Well, maybe, maybe not. I'm trying though. I had a great Body Pump workout this morning so I'm feeling pretty good about myself. This weekend was random, so there's not really a recap to be had. Today just feels like a Miscellany Monday to me.

1] The bigotry and rudeness in the social media world regarding the Zimmerman verdict makes me sad for humanity. People need to learn to think before they post and before they protest. Whether you agree with the verdict or not, everyone needs to understand that the justice system worked. He was arrested, he was given a defense and everyone had time to prepare their arguments. The defense did better than the prosecution plain and simple. I wish ignorance would go away, I'm tired of all the hate.
2] My week in workouts was horrible this week. I only had the ability to actually workout two days which is disgraceful. This week I'm hitting it hard to make up for the last week.

3] We had a kickball tournament this weekend and it was atrocious. That's all I'm going to say about that.

4] Taking time on Sundays to prep food is the best thing ever. Yes, it takes up time, but my fridge is so stocked with healthy things right now it's insane. C and I had a great Sunday morning hitting up the farmer's market and buying organic whole foods. I LOVE supporting small farmers instead of huge grocery stores :)!

5] I'm old. I went out Saturday night after kickball and was dying by 11pm. #oldladyproblems.

6] I made an amazing dessert this weekend that I'll be sharing later this week. *TEASER*
Red velvet,pudding,whipcream&oreos OH MY!
So tell me friends, how was your weekend?

Thank you for saying what you did about the Zimmerman verdict. I actually have a post half-written about that already, that will most likely be posted tomorrow. I'm so disappointed by the way people have handled the news, and I'm thankful for people like you who try to bring a little bit of sanity to the issue.

In other news, that dessert looks amazingly delicious and I can't wait for the recipe because I really want to try it.

Cheers. :)

I too cannot believe the way people are reacting to the trial...it really says a lot about us as human beings. :/ That dessert looks scrumptious! I'll be back for the recipe!!
