Today's wedding post is the main event...CEREMONY time!
The morning moved by at a perfect pace until we reached the church and then all of a sudden it was warp speed ahead. I remember thinking "Oh my goodness, this is it. I'm going to walk down the aisle a Miss and walk back up it a Mrs. and a wife"! It was calming talking with everyone, but once they lined up it was just me and Daddy.
I love looking at these pictures because there were so many things I didn't get to see because I was last to walk down the aisle. The colors of my church and the flowers were amazing and I love the way the pink and grey looked against the white back drop.
This is a VERY heavy picture post, but I hope you enjoy them. They truly capture the perfectness of the day and of the service. :)

Preparing to serve communion
When we were planning our wedding, there was a lot of talk about what we wanted to include, not include and what was important to our marriage service. We both felt very strongly about serving communion as our FIRST ACT as husband and wife. It was incredibly meaningful and many of our guests mentioned how it was their favorite part of our service, which made me so happy. Sharing God's mystery with those I love was extremely moving. And it gave us a chance to say hi to everyone too. My favorite part was watching my Catholic friends try to drink from the cup, even though Protestants practice intinction [dipping the bread into the juice]. C and I just laughed, so us ;)!
Almost done!
YOU MAY NOW KISS YOUR BRIDE!
Blessing of the new couple
WE DID IT!
After the service as over, C and I hustled to the parlor of our church for five minutes alone while everyone convened for the bubble exit. THIS was hands down the best decision we made all night. We were actually ALONE for five minutes and able to just BE together. Those moments are some of my favorite memories of just US! If you get the chance, make time to just be with your new spouse, you will love it!

ReplyDeleteThe ceremony was perfect and I LOVED the bubble send off. I already told you, but I'm stealing this idea from you since MG and I wont have an official "exit" the night of, either. I like the pics--they turned out great :)
ReplyDeleteThese are GREAT pictures! I love reliving your ceremony with you! So so awesome to see!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
Fantastic photos! I really love the pink and grey, too! It looked wonderful. I also love that you served communion. I would love to do the same, so we will have to see if Andrew's up for it! I agree about the 5 minutes - I definitely want that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!! I love your advice about the 5 minutes after, I think I will definitely have to do that.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! I love the pink dresses with the green ties and your flowers!
ReplyDeleteWe held communion at our wedding too, and it was one of my favorite parts of the ceremony! And we also got a few minutes alone right after the ceremony, and I think that was one of my favorite parts of the evening!:) Love reading these posts, P!nky:)
ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful, Pinky!! Love how you have that big smile on your face as your dad walked you down the aisle!
ReplyDeleteSuch stunning photos!!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful!! Love all these pictures. I had a similar deep breath picture before I got to my husband to be. :)
ReplyDeleteYou both look extremely happy in every photo.
The pictures are gorgeous! What a beautiful day! Love all the bright colors. Those flowers are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, the gentleman escorting "Mama B" down the aisle is too adorable. I am loving his suit!
ReplyDeleteI think a few minutes alone with your new husband after the ceremony before the rest of the festivities kick off is essential. That was probably the best decision we made too.
Love all of these!! & I agree with your guest, such a neat thing that y'all decided to serve communion yourselves!!
ReplyDeleteLove love love!!! You were stunning and looked sooooo happy!! :)
