A Friday Where Spring is in the Air

Dance Party....

Three cheers to best day of the work week, woohooooo! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the weekend. Ours is actually quite packed yet weekend work is so much better than work week work, right? I hope y'all had a great week, let's check out some favorites.

Favorite quote of the week: With the impending move comes the time to purge and Babyspice Suggested the Marie Konda "Spark Joy" method. I've seen it around the blog world and think I might give the book a go. The quote below perfectly describes my sentiments towards 'things' and I understand I need to get better at letting objects go that don't SPARK JOY.

Favorite moment of the week: Wednesday was super gorgeous so Le Husband and I wanted to do something outside. Unfortunately due to a long conference call our bike plans were a bust leaving our dinner plans in the lurch. So we decided to walk to a new BBQ joint close to our apartment and enjoyed a lovely evening together. This is something I'll remember when we move and it was so nice to just relax and be together. #iateafullpoundofbeefshortribs #delicious

Favorite video of the week:  While this video was posted on Veteran's day people on Facebook have been posting it recently due to March Madness anticipation. Athletes not standing at attention during the National Anthem drives me bonkers, I get so angry when people don't respect the flag and everyone who fought in it's honor. Kudos to this coach, I can't wait to watch the Hokies represent the respect our Veterans and flag deserve.

Favorite links of the week: Hope you enjoy and read something fun.

Downton Abbey sounds a lot less classy with an American accent. #watchthisnow

The DCC share their defining moments in overcoming stereotypes.

I'm normally not one to hurrah lawsuits, but I was very glad Erin Andrews won her suit.

There still are incredibly kind strangers in the world and that makes me happy.

Esquire meets Emma Watson.

Favorite funnies of the week: Giggles and laughs upon chuckles.

  19. Love, love, love that first quote!! And yay for a gorgeous evening with your man! Eric has been getting home at 5 from work each night (what?! first time since we moved here that he's been home from work before 7!!) so last night I packed a picnic dinner and we went to the park to eat, play and soak up the gorgeous weather! That's something I daydreamed of doing when it wasn't possible before! It's the simple things in life, isn't it?!

  26. Seriously LOLing at all your funnies! The guess who board with family members is so hilarious! I find it so utterly disrespectful when people don't stand and salute the flag during the National Anthem! Hope you have a wonderful weekend friend!

  27. I didn't follow the story super closely, but I was so glad to hear Erin Andrews won, too - the whole thing is disturbing. And I can't even read that flight attendant article, I probably don't want to know lol! Happy Friday!

  28. I was laughing so hard at all of those memes. And yay for gorgeous weather and walking to dinner. Have a good weekend!!!

  31. Ugh. Losing an hour of sleep stinks, but thankfully, I'm on a late shift because losing that hour and being on a 4am shift ... I'd probably stab somebody. Okay, not true. But my mood would probably be that way. Oops.

Mmm. BBQ. I wish we'd get some sun here. I mean, I know I live in Washington but it's been ridiculous. Rain for the last two weeks. It has officially become the rainiest winter yet. Crazy!

  34. lol! the auto correct meme is my life. i swear, my phone refuses to let me swear when want but the changes its mind and auto corrects to the most awful things when i don't want it to :|

  35. i laughed so hard at the final destination one. SO TRUE i ain't getting behind that!

i'm scared to click on the flight attendant link.. lol. but i will.

oh that quote about holding on to things - so true. i read the book and it didn't blow my mind or change my life like it did for others, but now when i look at this dress i've had for 5 years that somehow shrunk in the wash and i will never ever ever ever wear again but i don't want to get rid of it because it cost me $200 (in AUD but still?)... i can get rid of it because it served its purpose and it's time to let go. theoretically. it might still be in my closet. don't judge. haha.
